DAI provides design surveys for a wide range of transportation projects including on- and off-system bridge replacement, roadway construction and renovation, as well as frontage roads, ramps and approaches.
Other design survey work includes verification and installation of subsurface utilities such as water lines, wastewater lines and franchise utilities. Design surveys are based on the accurate collection of topographic survey data.
Topographic data reflects land elevations and contours, locating both natural and manmade features, such as drainage features, buildings, quarries, fences, roadways and woodlands. DAI also routinely performs topographic surveys with creek and stream profiles that show channel meandering, drainage areas, roadway and channel cross-section components.
In 2002, DAI was awarded an on-going 1.5-million dollar professional surveying contract and two 2-million dollar contracts in 2004 and 2006 with the Texas Department of Transportation, both of which include street and highway surveying services.
