As the former City Engineer for the City of Rockwall for 10 years, his local reputation and roots in the community led him to choose Rockwall as the location for his enterprise. Dub began work as a civil engineer for Hunter Associates in Dallas. Projects included various municipalities and governmental agencies throughout the state of Texas. From 1981 to 1984, he relocated to Midland, Texas to work as a drilling and production engineer for Chevron USA. Dub returned to Dallas in 1984, and to his passion for civil engineering, as project manager/engineer for Freese & Nichols Consulting Engineers. And in 1986, he became the City Engineer for the City of Rockwall. For the next 10 years, Dub directed the engineering department’s various in-house design and implementation projects, including paving, drainage and utility bond improvements. He also handled contract administration and construction management of all capital improvements and managed all new land development—from initial review of engineering design through final construction phase. Dub’s expertise includes numerous municipal projects, such as: | | • | Comprehensive water distribution studies and plans, including capital improvement, cost analysis and water distribution computer analysis | | • | A $4.7 million street bond program for paving, drainage and utilities improvements | | • | Numerous water line extensions, reactivation and yard piping, sanitary sewer extensions and ground storage tanks for water distribution and distribution pipeline construction | | • | Wastewater treatment plant design | | • | Water metering stations | | • | Wastewater metering stations |
